Common questions
Something rewrote my product descriptions. Can I get them back?
If PriorCopy was installed before it happened, yes. Open the app, find the snapshot from before the change, and you will see the previous text word by word against the current text. Select what you want back and restore it. Restores preview first and never run without an explicit confirmation.
If PriorCopy was not installed beforehand, we cannot help and neither can anyone else — Shopify keeps no version history of product fields, and the original text is genuinely gone. This is the reason the app exists.
Does it back up my orders and customers?
No, deliberately. Shopify already exports both to CSV from your admin at any time. What Shopify does not keep is a history of your products and content — and a re-created order would carry a fabricated payment record and corrupt your financial reporting. We would rather not hold your customers' personal data at all.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
We email you a complete export, and then delete everything within 30 days. Reinstalling inside that window cancels the deletion and your history continues unbroken. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I get my data out while I am still a customer?
Yes, from day one of the trial. No tenure requirement, no support ticket.
Reporting a security issue
Email info@liquidmonks.com with "Security" in the subject. We will acknowledge within one business day. Please give us a reasonable window to fix an issue before disclosing it publicly.
