Modules for WHMCS
WHMCS Modules
WHMCS 9 moved the floor: newer PHP, Smarty 4, a higher ionCube minimum. A lot of the add-ons sitting in a working install were written years before any of that, and nobody has looked at them since. We build small, single-purpose modules for that reality — each one doing a job you can describe in a sentence, on the version of WHMCS you are actually about to run.
No monthly rental. Our paid modules cost one yearly licence per install, and that year buys updates and support — stop renewing and the version you already have keeps running. Our free modules are MIT-licensed, unencoded, and yours to fork: no licence key, no call home, nothing to renew.
The modules
-
Examen
A readiness and security audit for your install. It reads every add-on, server and provisioning module on disk, flags the PHP 8.2/8.3 and Smarty 4 code that will break under WHMCS 9, checks your environment against the WHMCS 9 minimums, and runs a set of hardening checks on the install itself. Read-only; it never executes what it reads.

Bonsho
Hook-driven notifications for the events you actually want to hear about — new orders, failed payments, overdue invoices, opened tickets — delivered to Discord, Slack, Telegram or ntfy. Named for the temple bell: it rings, then it stops.
-
Samu
Hides terminated services from the client area so a customer's product list shows what they have, not everything they ever had — plus bulk tidying for the admin side. Samu is the Zen word for the daily work of sweeping the floor.
-
Breviary
One monthly invoice instead of a dozen renewal notices, and a proper PDF statement of account for the clients whose finance department asks for one. For providers whose customers hold more than a handful of services.
How we work
- Tested on PHP 8.1–8.4 Every module is run against each of those before release, not just the one our laptop happens to have.
- A changelog on every release Version, date, and what changed — including the things we got wrong and fixed.
- Compatibility claimed only where tested If we have not run it on a WHMCS version, the page says so instead of listing the number.
- MIT for the free modules Read the source, fork it, run it after we are gone. No encoder, no licence server.
Questions, bugs, or something you wish existed
Email info@liquidmonks.com — we answer every message ourselves, usually the same day. If you are already running one of these and something is broken, say which WHMCS and PHP version you are on and we will treat it as urgent. General help lives on our support page.
